Start a Student Pageant Association
Chapter at YOUR School!
http://stuact.tamu.edu/stuorgs/pageant/
What is the S.P.A.?
It is a student run organization which helps its members prepare
for pageants financially as well as physically and mentally! Each semester
there is a Mock Pageant as well which
provides fundraising opportunities!
Fundraising? What do you mean?
The S.P.A. creates fundraising opportunities for its members through
student organization activities and the funds go back to the members in
the form of Sponsorship in their next
pageant! Last year alone the S.P.A. sponsored over $1000 to its members!
Our biggest fundraiser is the Mock Pageant held each semester!
Mock Pageant?
A Mock Pageant is a practice pageant that allows participants to experience
a real pageant and all of its components with the added advantage of learning
what they can improve on based on the judges
comments! PLUS, the contestants earn
sponsorship through advanced ticket sales! Each year an overall
winner is crowned as "Miss SPA (insert your school name)"! In
the future, each school's winner would come to a national pageant to compete
for a scholarship and the national title!
History:
The Student Pageant Association was founded at Texas A&M University
in 2001. In its third year now, it has helped a number of students prepare
for pageants financially as well as physically and mentally! The S.P.A.
provides workshops and seminars in ALL aspects of pageantry and membership
is open to ALL pageant enthusiasts! Community Service is also an important
part of pageantry and the Student Pageant Association.
Members of the Student Pageant Association include
these titleholders:
Miss Galaxy 2004, Gina Ferrer (formerly Miss Texas U.S. Galaxy 2003)
Miss Bay Area USA 2003, Jessica Guzman - Top 15 Miss Texas USA 2004

This is a great opportunity for you to spread your love
of pageantry and help others in their pursuit and life altering experince
of pageantry!
Future of S.P.A.:
Our Goal is to eventually have a chapter in all the major universities
across the nation. Each having a mock pageant and school representative
to send to a national pageant to compete for a scholarship. The SPA at
TAMU is currently working to provide a scholarship to the winners of the
local Mock pageant as well as providing invaluable experience!
